can someone please clean this thread up again? It's full of comments and not a lot of photos. This thread was supposed to be about photos....
Like this:
Dont wear goth clothing to a celtic festival.
Actually, I've seen goth garb pulled off well at Highland festivals. Drop the hem on her dress by at least four inches and loose those hideous fish net spidery looking hose and she could easily pull it off. She just went a little too far and looks more like fancy dress for Halloween.

I can see more than a couple of don'ts with the chap (cut in half) on the left of the picture, above.

Well, lets start a list:
1. Ball cap with formal evening dress
2. Kilt pin as a lapel pin on formal evening dress
3. Black sneakers with formal evening dress
4. Formal evening dress during a un-formal day event
5. Belt and waistcoat
Any more?

Yes, I agree. This poor soul should have stayed in bed!
Not every one will agree , but to add to the list, three of my pet hates are:-
1. No bow tie with the PC.
2. White hose.
3. Kilt worn too long.

Ouch! I will think twice before I post any more pictures of me here this is rough.
BTW
1. Ball cap = outdoor wear and he is outdoors.
2. I like it. Hopefully he has a different one on the kilt.
3. Looks like dress shoes to me.
4. Yes, I agree here, but he does look better than most others in picture. It may even be all he has to wear with a kilt.
5. You can find belts and waistcoat on kilt shop websites.

1. Headdress is generaly not worn with evening dress, and if it was it would be something suitable to your dress.
2. Other than a boutonniere or metals, I can't say that I've seen a evening jacket with "flare"
3. Could be... they seem much to "high" to be anything other than sneakers to me.. but I stand to be corrected.
4. I can't agree with your logic here, and as for all he has.. what no golf shirts?
5. You can also find books on these website on how to dress properly. Ignorance can't always be an excuse.

I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear
