My new duds!
Here we have Hugh in his dashing Graham of Montrose 16 oz wool kilt, jacket, waiscoat, all from Reid Kilts!
This is my first tank, family tartan kilt, jacket, and waistcoat and I could not be more pleased. Peter has top notch connections and his customer service was spectacular. He makes you feel like you are the only customer who matters. It fit so well and looked so good that even my pastor, who used to beg me not to wear a kilt to church, said that I looked great. My wife says the jacket is a little to militant in cut for her taste but that I looked great in it. She also said that my beard makes me look like I'm from the civil war or something.
I am really looking forward to this weekend so I can finally shave after the beard contest at Warrior Dash, PA!
P.S. Let us not forget that the lovely sporran was created by our very own Nighthawk!

That does look quite spectacular!!

First, great outfit! You look good. You should take a new set of pics, however, after the beard comes off, for a comparison.
I can see why your wife would say that it looks very military. In the first photo, I thought you were wearing a tunic. I can see in the second how the waistcoat and black shirt blend in together.
Is that your preferred style of vest? All those silver buttons sure look like a military uniform. Should you want to soften the look, maybe try a light-colored shirt? Cheers.
P.S. these pics are really, really big!! You might want to post a smaller size in the future.

A very nice outfit indeed!
I should point out that that is Graham of Montrose, not Menteith.

I will definitely retake after the beard goes bye-bye.
Sorry about the pic size. First time trying that feature here. The pictures were not the best quality and if they were smaller I think they would have blurred.
This is my first jacket and waistcoat, I like the style very much, though. Very formal looking without being prince charlie. I also purposefully did black on black for the more severe look. I usually wear jeans and a Star-Wars t-shirt to church so if I was wearing tie it would be on my terms. Nothing but compliments, though!

Please take this as the joke it's intended to be:
In the black accoutrements with the black hair and big black beard your starting to look like Grigori Rasputin.
I will conquer!
