Any Scottish Poles....or Polish Scots?
I have never met my father, as he left before I was born, and all I know about him really is that he was born and raised in Poland, and I believe his parents were Polish as well. My mom jokes that I must be part Scottish, as I sort of look the part (very light skin, lots of freckles, and my hair is starting to turn a little red!) and because I love everything Scottish ...so I looked it up for fun and became aware of the long history of Scots moving to Poland and vice versa...so I was wondering if there is anyone here that has Polish and Scottish roots. I would love to research my family history on my father's side...but I really have no clue how I'd go about doing it. Come to think of it...I don't know all that much about my mother's side...but I can at least trace part of that back to the early 1800's.
