Masonic Tartan

For those of you kilted bretheren out there:
The following website has available cloth in the "Grand Lodge of Scotland" tartan. It's a beautiful Green-based tartan...I'd love to have a tank made in this cloth. They have quite a few other masonic kilt-related items as well.

No sweat man! There's a LOAD of topics that keep re-appearing on this site due to the huge number of "newbies", and that's a good thing. It keeps new members informed, and keeps the "old guard" on their toes.;)

My Grandfather was a grand master in Canada, and I know that the traditions run DEEP with the Masonic Lodge. I've always loved the tartan, and have actualy seen it in fly-aways, sashes and cumberbunds. Since I am not a member, I'll never wear it. I can't imagine a kilt-wearing member NOT having SOMETHING made out of it! It's truly beautiful.

I've been drooling over that tartan for more than a year.

Cool tartan...same situation as Jimmy. A great grandfather was a Mason, his Masonic sword sorta melted in the great Hinkley fire in Hinkley, Minn in 1894. The sword has been handed down the generations to me. I thought it best to donate it to the Hinkley Fire Museum there so others could see the intensity of that forest fire.

My great grandfather and grandfather survived the fire in the town gravel pit which had about 4' of water in it.

But I'll never be a Mason since I'm not even Christian.

Last weekend as I was headed back for the Flagstaff Highland Games from the motel a guy came running up to my truck begging for a ride to get a key for his big rig tractor. He'd locked himself out accidently. He did a double take when he got in but never asked about my kilt. He did venture that he was a Mason and that Mason's helped each other and asked if I was a Mason. Told him no, but I was a sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous and we did the same type of helping others. Then told him about my great grandfather.

Think I left him kinda bewildered when he got back he climbed right up into his semi and hit the road.

I uh, have been painfully and completely stone cold sober since Feb 1. Haven't been attending meetings as much as I would like to.

My liver is a whimpering simpering milksop. I already have lumps and spots, I have faced the wee beastie dragon and have earned the title of Sir Osis of the Livah.

Been getting harder lately... It's been damn bloody hot... I keep thinking about how nice and refreshing a pina colada would be. It hurts. I hate my self.

I am going to go slam my head into the wall now.

Being a Christian is not a requirement to be a Mason. The requirement is you must believe in a God. Which God is up to you.

would it be alright for me to get a masonic kilt even if I wasn't scottish?I don't want to offend anybody by wearing it but I am a mason would love to do so....any help I know this may sound dumb guys but it's a genuine question
