When were great kilts invented?
I'm a fan of Stargate and was wondering why Camulus didn't wear a kilt? Were kilts not invented in the 3rd century BC (the period when the Goa'uld left earth)?

From what I understand The great kilt came about in the 16'th century A.D. I am not sure, but I believe it may have been developed from the Liene.

I'm a trekkie too, lol. Gonna miss Stargate In fact I'm doubly pissed because with in the span of two years two shows I watch were cancelled by executives who were obviously on dope (Enterprise and SG1.) Enterprise was just starting to get good when they pulled the plug, and Stargate had just begun a new arc

The Jedi
There must have been some intermarrage between the Jedi and the Irish or some other race because the present day Scots are tall and the Jedi are only about three feet tall at the most, Or maybe the silver screen only make them look short.

hmm..could be. since I don't know which jedi made it here, it is very possible that the only ones that made it were of a shorter stature.

jordan's pretty much got it. The kilt began its rise in the late 16th century. I expect Matt will chime in with a brief synopsis. Then again, I'm sure it's been mentioned elsewhere.

See:
http://www.albanach.org/kilt.html
Basically, the earliest documented evidence we have of the great kilt (feilidh-mor) being worn is from 1594.
(And we know that the Goa'uld didn't really occupy Earth, right?) :-)

D'oh, I just saw this comment. Then how come all the scots were wearing them in Braveheart, set in the 14th Century?
