You look great!
One small remark...that cell-phone...if you can't do without it...in the sporran with it! These things look very...err...not kiltish.
Lovely tartan btw.

Robin, that is an interesting comment. I got a similar one when wearing my kilt to the grocery store a few weeks ago. We had been to a part for our daughters so I had not only the cell phone but a digital camera hanging by the strap from the sell phone holster. A gentleman stopped me and said "The kilt is nice and I don't mind it, but the cell phone and camera have to go!" I responded that we had just come from a party, so that was the reason for the camera, and he made a comment that he could understand that, but the phone was still a problem. My question is why wearing a cell phone clipped to a kilt belt is any more or less offensive than wearing a cell phone clipped to the belt or waistband of any other type of lower body garment? If you just do not like the look of a cell phone on any belt, I can understand, not agree, but understand.
Thanks!

THe cell phone on the belt breaks up the profile and no matter how one has it aqttched it does not "go" with a traditional kilt look, a modern kilt is a different matter.

Where to put things is always a problem for a guy. Most women can carry anything they might possibly need in their purse.
(Or in their bra in my Grandmother's case. I don't know why she carries a purse because she keeps all her valuables stuffed in her brazier. And I don't know why her purse weighs over 20 lbs if there is nothing essential in it. I seriously think she's carrying a cinder block in there just to give some unsuspecting purse snatcher a hernia).
Okay, back to my point. Most purses can easily fit anything a woman might need including wallet, makeup, cell phone, etc.
Pants don't offer a solution because even though they have pockets, none are large enough for everything unless you wear pants with cargo pockets.
As for kilts, most sporrans just aren't large enough to carry everything a guy needs. Heck some aren't even big enough for a decent wallet! But a cell phone does look odd on a kilt belt when worn with a tartan kilt. Sadly, it does look okay with a contemporary kilt - that has enough bloody cargo pockets to hold it anyway!
So what's the solution for carrying the cellphone, pen, whatever, you need?
I always wear a jacket (or during the summer when bumming around a photographer's vest). I've got nice big roomy packets in the vest for all sorts of stuff. And I can discreetly carry a cellphone in my inside jacket pocket when I need to look nice.
