I seems strange that we celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary the Sunday before. I don't remember getting married in a hospital.

Normally, that's within "marjin of error" (at most, 2 to 3 threads off for WAISTBAND) as the waistband isn't the easiest thing to put on (since it's sewn inside out and then "stitch in the ditch") and it's not usually seen beind the belt / shirt. However, if it makes a big difference to you, we'll try to correct it. If you need the waistband moved, drop it off and I'll have it ready to pick up in a few weeks.

Not sure what you mean by the waistband being "slanted". The only thing I can think of is that by the end of the kilt (when you sew all the way down the apron along the pleats to the under apron), the waistband DOES end up slanting a little bit b/c you're sewing it on a curve (especially when the wearer has a pretty decent waist to hip ratio... the top of the kilt curves more). That will pretty much always happen and there's not much we can do to fix it properly. If you try to force the fabric to line up straighter, the waistband will curl out.

If this really starts to bother me, lets see an afternoon of sewing or a couple of weeks re-joneing? A no brainer - I will spend an afternoon with a good book on tape or old movie and adjust it.
