    first time wearing kilt

    Hello all.
I just received my first kilt from Stillwater. I decided to go with a Black Watch for my first one.

It was very "interesting" learning how to put it on.
I was very surprised at how comfortable I was once it was on.

I thought it appropriate to wear my work polo with a kilt. It has the company name on the sleeve. The name McKesson just seemed to go with the look.

Here are a couple pics (please do not crucify me for my choice of leg/footwear)

Kilt looks great. The boots are fine, I would just suggest that you scrunch down the hose. IMO it's a better look with boots.

Congratulations on your new kilt. I agree with Freelancer.

Ya look good....and don't worry, we don't crucify around here...

...we just impale on a pike...nothing fancy.

Seriously, though, have you managed to get that first "kilted outing" behind you yet?

ok, i figured out the scrunch thing by looking thru the casual pics...

If I am to be impaled, do I get to pick out my own pike??

No, I have not managed getting past my first outing.
Unless you consider standing on our front porch for pictures as an outing...
    LOL

This weekend is Renfest around here. I know this style is not the correct style for the RenFest period, but as I have heard elsewhere - Ren Fests are the perfect opportunity to dress any way you want & no one will question you

MAN! get out there an show that kilt to the world. You look fine.
You don't have to use a Ren fest as an excuse to wear it.
But watch out! If you hang around here long you'll catch the kilt fever and be buying more an more kilts.

Welcome to a fine group of ladies and gentlemen.

You got that right! I started with one kilt and a year later had 8.

What was the gap between 1 and 2 though? Learning the nuances like not getting your nuts smashed by the sporan hitting the steering wheel during a turn... thats one thing I wished I had a better warning of.
