I'm trying to remember the brand, but I remember the aroma bring me to a dead stop while grocery shopping. I had to have a bag and I was not disappointed. I'll update this when I remember the name

I have not had any luck with any coffee grown in an area that boarders the Indian Ocean. Is it really less bitter than let's say an Indonisian? & if so where do you get it?

Now haven't you seen the movie "Elf"? The best coffee in the world is sold in a shop in New York. It said so on their window, so it must be true.

I must put forward Acme Coffee Roasting of Seaside, California. Not only are they a small, in-house roaster, but the proprietor is an highland athlete. They also feature "Kilt and Quiche Wednesday" where all the local kilties (and some not so local) come in their finery and revel in the sunshine, good company and great coffee.

Le Buzz in Tucson. He roasts the beans in the back room. Has me drooling like one of Pavlov's dogs whenever I go by and get whiff.

I prefer the Powerglide myself, you taste more coffee and less roast, but I've never had bad coffee from them. I found an action shot of Chris, one of the baristas, (I wonder if they want to be called that) throwing at Monterey in July, the owner is Larry, the second seated to the right:

You win.
My runners up include Guatemalan Antigua, Kawaii Peaberry, Kenya AA, and 100% Kona.
Celebrities in kilts and coffee all rolled up into one... Ewan McGregor plays an American GI who is obsessed with coffee.
P.S. The worst part of the new Air Force uniforms is that they show coffee spills. The ol' camo was just the right shade to hide coffee and bbq stains.

Has anyone tried the "Kopi Luwak" coffee? I hear it's really good but at $180/pound it's a bit steep for regular consumption. One of these days I'll order a 2oz. pouch and give it a try but, since I drink 2+ pots a day, my usual coffee is anything on sale as long as it's 100% arabica.
