SWK Black Watch Heavyweight and KL Kilts Scottish National

Finally got around to taking some photos of my (relatively) new SWK Black Watch heavyweight and my KL Kilts Scottish National kilt I picked up off eBay. The heavyweight is definitely my favorite... fits like a suit of armor! haha. I have a new SWK Weathered MacKenzie on the way as well... pics will be posted asap! Strangely enough, I have been forgetting to put on a kilt pin on my recent outings... gotta put them in plain sight!

I have the same sporran, the kilts look nice, and a good casual look.

Many thanks! The Kidder sporran is definitely my favorite. Very roomy, very substantial. I can't wait to pair it with the Weathered MacKenzie.

Looks like you had a good shopping spree on e-bay.

    A big Thumbs Up!

    Like the Sporran, top notch!

Well, the Black Watch and the sporran both came from Stillwater Kilts. The BW was a closeout merino wool heavyweight that I couldn't pass up, especially for wearing in colder weather. I was surprised at the KL Kilts model. Pretty decent for the price.

I don't wear a kilt pin when dressed casually as it tends to be bothersome. Save the kilt pin for dressy occasions.

I can go either way... I like the pins because it adds a touch extra to a casual ensemble. I don't wear the kilt to a lot of formal affairs, so if I don't wear a pin while 'dressed down', I'd never wear them.

I like the kilt pin because its functional. It fights the breeze so you don't have to.
