Kilt with Rosettes...
Hey Guys, I recently bought an ex Royal regiment of Scotland senior NCO's Kilt, it is a thing of beauty, my question is , is it ok to wear a kilt pin ,as it has 2 green rosettes attached to the front panel, anyone have any input ????

Unless you happen to be a senior NCO or officer of this regiment, I would NOT recommend wearing the rosettes.

I would agree. It is almost, like wearing another man's medals. Medals, like rosettes are earned. If they are not earned, then they shouldn't be worn.

Yes these "rosettes" as the Regiment calls them are a badge of rank, not a simple decoration.
Sergeants, Warrant Officers, and Officers wear these rosettes in conjunction with their badges of rank and a red or cimson sash. All go together as a set of things which indicate rank.

Kilt Pin w/"Rosette's"
hey guys ,thanks for all your comments & insight, i understand that the Rosettes are a rank signature item, but no-one has answered the question posed, which is ; do you wear a kilt pin with rosettes..????

No. The rosettes are essentially kilt pins; the Buchan Pipe Band, which my clan society sponsors, wears a civilian version of rosettes in place of kilt pins.
