    Kilt Pin w/"Rosette's"

    hey guys ,thanks for all your comments & insight, i understand that the Rosettes are a rank signature item, but no-one has answered the question posed, which is ; do you wear a kilt pin with rosettes..????

    No. The rosettes are essentially kilt pins; the Buchan Pipe Band, which my clan society sponsors, wears a civilian version of rosettes in place of kilt pins.

    The answer is, in the Army anyhow, that a kilt pin is not worn with the large bows worn by the Black Watch (which the regiment calls "rosettes") as can be seen here:



    But kilt pins ARE worn with the true rosettes worn by the Scots Guards and Royal Highland Fusiliers:

    I have a good clear photo of a different Pipe Major of the Royal Highland Fusiliers and his kilt pin doesn't look like a military kilt pin at all, but looks like the usual civilian sword-and-clan-crest style. Presumably the clan crest portion has the regimental badge, but the photo isn't clear enough to tell.
