A run of MM PV Maple leaf?
With the maple leaf becoming the Nation tartan of Canada it would be wonderful to have a PV kilt to go with my 16oz tank.
Maybe if there is enough interest we could get a run of PV from Marton Mills. I know Canadian Casual did a run a few years ago but the material is not for sale.

I have already begun the process.
We are discussing yarn colors.
The original design called for the range of colors found on Maple trees through the seasons. The Green Color of the leaves in Spring and Summer, followed by the colors as the leaves change in the Fall. Yellow, Orange, Brown. And finally the Red.
Along the way some of these were changed. Gordon Kirkbright started the change when he darkened the Green to an almost black. The Yellow, Orange and Brown are now a Yellow, Light Brown and Dark Brown.
I have a small swatch of the original colors and these are what I am hoping to reproduce in P/V.
I'll keep you posted.

What timing. The bolt of P/V in the Maple Leaf Tartan arrived just last week.
I haven't had time to take photos yet but I'll do that tomorrow.

This bolt of fabric came to us with a fringed selvedge. If you wish we can hem it.
Price per yard for this fabric is $24.00cdn.

Are these then the Modern colours and not the Muted colours popularly woven? I have a little trouble keeping it straight for this tartan. These are excellent colours.

Wow - fantastic colors. Looks just like the maples in our woods in the fall!
Just a quick note for the potential kiltmakers out there. I know that Steve would alert you to this, but remember that the Maple Leaf is one of the rare asymmetric tartans. Even if you put a hem in the kilt, it's better to have a single width piece 8 yards long. Steve - will you be selling single width splits, or only double width pieces?
