I was looking through Flickr for Cairngorm skiing and came across this nice looking tartan.

Nope. It's weathered MacPherson/Kidd. Probably woven by Lochcarron.

I agree with David -- weathered MacPherson, most likely Lochcarron.

Since it looks just like the kilt my wife bought me in Jan. 2010, I'd have to go out on a limb and say it's a Maclaine lochbuie tartan.

The kilt pictured is definitely MacPherson weathered. If your Maclaine of Lochbuie kilt is of the same tartan, you need to go back and have a talk with your kiltmaker!

After pulling the swatch of Maclaine Tartan fabric I have, I looked closely at it and saw that the Tartan posted was different, I'll just shut up now!

I agree with Matt... Macpherson / Kidd, though I'd guess the mill as Marton Mills: http://www.usakilts.com/store/tartan...&gazimage=1536

Based on his dress sporran, I'm guessing this was a formal event.
