christmas anywhere?
If you could celebrate Christmas anywhere in the world, where would it be? My top 5 choices are Bethlehem, Rome, Prague, Salzburg and Moscow.

anywhere with my family, but possibly back in Sri Lanka - it's gotta be warmer and less windy than here!

I like to be home here in Hawick Scotland for Christmas.
I've sampled going away over Christmas, but Christmas at home can't be bettered.

I served for 12 years in the RAF. I was on duty for 9 Christmases. For the other 3, married servicemen took pity on me and invited me into their homes for Christmas Day. As nice as it was, it was their home - it was not mine.
Now that it is just the wife and I, we like to spend it together, in our own home.

Having worked like a daemon to get all the bedding and towels etc ready for my daughter's flat, hauled the washing down and then back up two flights of stairs, driven through the storm and darkness on Monday to pick them up at Heathrow, done their shopping, decorated our tree so it could be in place just before midnight, and now I have the turkey roasting the stove going full belt and am just gathering up the things we will need for dinner and tea today - I think I'd like to sit down.
I don't really care where it is, though somewhere not up two flights of stairs would be good - but if that is where we have to go then it will be achieved.
Oh the joys of Christmas with family.
May you all have as good a one - with fewer stairs if at all possible.
