Ivory buttons on jackets?

I was wondering if anyone’s tried ivory coloured buttons on casual tweed jackets like crail, braemar, & argyll. Not keen ob metal buttons, but the standard deer antler buttons seem a but muted against the tweeds used for these jackets. Does anyone have any photos of examples? I’m sure it must have been done before, but it would be good to see examples, I think the contrast of the button would look neat.

Have you thought about leather buttons? They are traditional and effective.

Of course, they are as common as antler buttons from what I can gather, but I personally hate the look of them, no idea why. Just not to my taste, maybe it's because they're a bit bulky & perhaps the texture.

It is of course entirely your affair, but you have certainly got me wondering. Thus far my traditional mind is not imagining a great success in the end result going on the train of thought leading from your questions. Time will tell perhaps?
