    Re: Attn: Kilted Runners

I'm not a runner! OK, with that said, here are a few pictures (links) of me at the Warrior Dash last April in Arizona.

    Before

    Jumping Fire

    Finish Line

    After

    Pile of Donated Shoes

By the way, if you haven't done one of these runs, I highly encourage you to try one!

No belt...just the velcro closure on the Stillwater economy kilt. The kilt held up well, got home, hosed it off in the back yard, and hung it over a patio chair to dry, and it looked none the worse for wear. Just a few small rips where my entry number was pinned on and tore off during the race. It's now in a shadow box with photos and mementos from the run.

I did have a young lady catch up to my wife and I around the 7th or 8th obstacle, and thank me for wearing something underneath...Apparently she was just behind us at the first obstacle where we had to climb over wooden walls and under barbed wire...leaving me in a very exposed situation...it took her nearly 2 miles to gather the nerve to say something... We all had a good laugh, and kept on running.

We may have a bigger group go kilted this year, as a number of friends want to try it.
