When we were planning the funeral service the minister said the church had a prohibition against bagpipes inside the church for the funeral service. Considering that the first Episcopalian bishop in the Colonies was created by Scottish rather than the Anglican bishops, this is truly odd. The Anglican Communion includes the Church of England I think, but is not equivalent to it. Of course, the English didn't like that our first Episcopalian bishop was of Scottish creation, so created two of their own.
