Thanks every one for your helpfull suggestions and tips! So I chose option 2 (vest and tie no jacket) but i also brought the jacket with me just in case. and the wedding was fun I did get a great compliment from the bride herself on my kilt and attire so i figure that option 2 was the right way, most of the other men in attendance had just a button up shirt, it was maybe 50/50 on who had ties; and only those in the actual wedding party were wearing jackets. but as i mentioned before i did bring mine which came in handy because my girl friend got cold and had me run to the car and get it, even though she had suggested not to bring it at all! All in all it was a good night, it was my first wedding with no alcohol and no dancing! it was just a ceremony and a nice dinner but still a good time.
I will take all of your tips into consideration as i start to build up my kilting attire, i will definitely get a bow tie and maybe a few more vests to mix things up a bit, but this was a good trial run to see how i would do with wearing a full Prince charlie for my upcoming wedding in June! And sadly there are no more pictures as there wasn't really many picture opportunities with out the dancing, every one was sitting most of the time.
