An Eventful Non Eventful Evening
Greetings my kilted friends and brethern,
I was fortunate enough to be able to go downtown tonight to hear some Celtic Music at a jam session. A friend was one of the musicians, so a couple of buddies and myself went to go hear her play.
On the way downtown by way of light rail, I heard this chap in his early 20's talking on his cell phone saying that " a dude on the light rail is wearing a kilt, and boy is it cool." Did not say anything to me, which surprised me somewhat, especially after his comments on the phone.
While at the bar (an Irish Pub knock off), no comments, smiles and nods yes, but that was it a big non event.
After the set was finished, we all started to leave, and on my way back to light rail, from a restaurant I was passing, out walked a group of people, mostly ladies and young girls, but one kilted gentleman. Naturally we had to talk, he found out I was from Denver and that I am kilted 99.99% of my waking life. I found out that he was from Inverness, Scotland. He was impressed with my kilting, and I was happy to meet another kilted gentleman.
