Stillwater Economy Disappointment
There was a package from Stillwater waiting for me when I got home today. Although it was my Christmas present, I wanted to open the package and see how the kilt looked, and more importantly, fit. I have to say, as soon as I took it out of the box I was disappointed.
The bottom edge of the kilt looks to have been cut and not the traditional selvedge as advertised. I took out my daughter's youth kilt which I had ordered earlier and compared the bottom edges. To my eyes there was a noticeable difference.

Not only does the bottom edge appear cut, it's not "straight".

I knew it would probably be a little long, but to get it at mid knee, I had to wear it so the top edge was 4 inches above my navel. Wearing it that way I could almost fit my hand, widthwise, between me and the kilt. Since I was between sizes, I had gone up in size as suggested on the sizing information page. Walking from my daughter's bedroom, where the full length mirror is, back to my bedroom the kilt had fallen down to my hips.
I'm really not sure what I should do.
