Kilt Pin Backing Source?

Hemp??

The black waxed hemp that is always found in my pipe case to hemp the joints of the pipes.

Very strong.

I will wrap and tie it around the base of the post mount and again around the pin.

Very secure.

I just clip it off with nail clippers before removing the pin and sending the kilt to the cleaners.
