I own 2 pr.s of trews. Both DoA Issue.( BW & Seaforth) IMHO, your Wife suggesting a the combo of the TREWS & a PC, is SPOT ON ith:

1. As mentioned above, they should be "fish tail" or Military cut, & "Tailored to fit.
2. Personally, I feel that TREWS are "DRESSY" I have found that in my case, when I wear my Trews "casually" I feel like I am wearing "GOLF ATTIRE"
