On the subject of the "style" of the event; I told Alan that they were measuring the caber tosses. I think it was a way of keeping the kids interested as most all of them flipped every throw. The organizer did point out to the kids when they made a "good toss," ie, it landed at or near 12 o'clock.

You know, i bet we could organize a kids event.
I'm also thinking that such a thing might be really cool for Tartan Day at Ardenwood next year.
