    Exclamation Show Us Your Blades

Let's see pics of your sgianan dubh, dirks, baskethilts, claymores, etc! Heck let's even see sgianan brew and safety sgianan! I enjoyed the recent Show Us Your Sporrans, Show Us Your Kilt Hose, and Show Us Your Kilt Pins threads, so hopefully this one will be equally fun

Let's just keep in mind Rule #11:
"Whenever someone brings up the subject of weapons the discussion has always gone downhill rapidly. Because of this, we must insist that there will be no discussion, posting or photos of, weapons not traditionally or historically associated with the Kilt or Scottish Regiments."

And any Gaelic speakers out there who can tell me if I got the plural of sgian dubh correct as "sgianan"? I've also seen "sginean"...

I'll get it started with a few pics but I'll need to take some more later.

Handmade by the Real Sgian Dubh Co., water buffalo horn handle/sheath, sterling silver fittings, satin finish steel blade. Nice quality materials but it didn't come with an edge, which I have since remedied on my sharpening stone. Also, the Celtic knots come two dimensional, so I used an engraving pen to make them three dimensional:

Factory-made by CAS-Hanwei, damascus steel blade blade, leather covered wooden sheath, big purple stone, nickel fittings. This model has been discontinued but they still pop up every now and again. I got mine from the Celtic Croft:

Factory-made by Colt, mirror finish stainless blade, full tang, burl wood handle and sheath. The red tassel was included by the eBay seller (from China) but I have since removed it. These can be had cheaply, especially if you find one on eBay that isn't listed as a sgian:
