I'm glad I stumbled across this thread. My wedding is in 11 months and my groomsmen will need kilt rentals. Thank you all for the advise.

I would suggest using one of the advertisers on this site, as they seem to take good care of their customers.
What have you heard? I am dealing with them right now, and have been for a few months. I may be biased as I can walk into the store...

Celtic Croft rentals
Try the Celtic Croft again. They have someone doing nothing but rentals now and you are able to also rent some nice tartans besides Black Watch. They have several different rental packages too, including kids.

Post some updates on your experience with KiltRentalUSA. I'm getting married in November 2011 and am looking for a place to rent my groomsmen's kilts from. I am wearing my Irish National and my bride would like my friends to wear the same. I still haven't decided on a place to rent from so all the feedback I hear is greatly appreciated!
Long time lurker- finally joined and this is my first post!

Two of my groomsmen rented full outfits and I rented a PC for my son from Kilt Rental USA (Scottsdale)...
One groomsman received a shirt with arms that were 5 inches too short and a neck that was 4 inches too big.
The other got shoes that were about 3 sizes too small.
My son's PC was a couple sizes too small...he didn't care, but his white shirt showed between his waistcoat and kilt.
They have a good selection of tartans and jacket/waistcoats, but with such spotty results, I would go with Matt Newsome. I have not yet been his customer for anything, but, by what I've seen on the forum, I would have no reservations contacting the Scottish Tartan Museum for any of my needs.

I live in Northern Ohio and seeing how I don't have a kilt rental shop near by, I'm hoping this process will go as smoothly as possible.
Kilt Rental .com (located in Colorado, USA)
Celtic Corner Store (located in Cincinnati, Ohio)
Kilt Rental USA (located in Scottsdale, Arizona)
The Scotland Yard Store Ltd (located in Shelbyville Kentucky)
Thanks all for your help.
I found another that I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with:

For my wedding I took all my kilt related business to the Scottish Tartan Museum in NC. I didn't want to have hose coming from pace X, kilt from place Y, rented PC jacket from Z, I just took it all to one place.
Every thing I rented fit, everything I bought showed up in great shape.
Of all the wedding vendors we dealt with, STM was the kindest and most level headed.
I liked our photographer a lot, but we don't have pictures yet, the ceremony was 05-21.
On the one hand I want to support some of our other vendors as well, but I am reticent to do so because STM's customer service was so good.
I sure wish Matt sold Chevy parts, I have two blocks needing complete rebuilds and he would be a pleasure to deal with I am sure.
