Thanks David. I see from Figheadair's subsequent post that the tartan may be unique (and possibly flawed technically) with regards exact colours and thread count but it did look like faded Erracht rather than Cameron (clan) to me.

I am reassured that I haven't got this tartan spotting all wrong.

I do like the concept of "I like the sett but I want to change the hue". I've considered commissioning a kilt length of Bruce Reproduction special weave along similar lines using the same thread count with different colours but I haven't got the readies right now. To do it would result in something completely unique as opposed to uncommon (as per my Bruce Hunting) and therefore would make it, specifically mine. A project for the future perhaps although I readily accept I've probably missed the point of clan tartans.

Anywhoo, on the off chance, I've bought my ticket for Friday AND Saturday night's lotteries so I'm ever optimistic. It's only a matter of time.
