Mael,
My son, at your Alma Mater, was about the same distance away and reported shaking buildings and puzzled looks, otherwise no apparent damage.
My dogs got a little nervous but when I joked with them about it being just a little earthquake they calmed down.
According to the fear mongers on TV and radio, this quake was just the pre-cursor to an even bigger after-shock. And, don't forget that Hurricane Irene is due to strike somewhere in SC/NC over the weekend. I'm sure all of VA will be devestated, especially when combined with the multiple after-shocks that will no doubt come about the same time....we'll probably have snow, too!
