    This pic was taken at the same event as the one I posted above. I'd call this "gangsta style". I got the impression that the kilt was likely made properly to his measurements, but that no one ever told him how to wear it. (Got a side shot too: No dirk belt, and wee sporran on a chain.) As he was with his girlfriend, I made no attempt to enlighten him -- would've been rude.

    When I was at the Saline Celtic festival a couple months ago, there was aa teenager wearing (I presume) an off the peg kilt similar to that. He was complaining how uncomfortable it was. I pointed out the fell line, and where that should be. For some unknown reason, on most (adult) guys, (unless they are exceptionally short or tall) if you put a kilt on them AND get them to put the fell line in the right place, the selvedge or hemline falls near the knee.
