I got to playing around with the pleating and I tried starting off in the center and pleating outward. I kind of like it and it uses less fabric but I am still undecided.

I am really fond of the second tartan.

    Re: Historically inspired knockaround kilt

    Unfortunately it would not work.

There simply wasn't enough fabric to make a kilt for me, but at least my fiance liked the green fabric so it is becoming a skirt for her. I hope to have it done tonight.

She didnt like the other fabric so I will have to find a use for it.

Extra fabric is all ways good to have around, From what I have seen you do ,I know you will make something Awsome with whatever you have on hand.
Keep up the good work ,as it is inspring to us all to make things ourself.
