They will do 6 yards tho but only in heavy weight. Most highland outfiters in Scotland are stuck in the "it has to be 8-9 yards to be a proper kilt". Even when i explain in simple terms that im wanting an early kilt. Plus they say with medium weight it wont have the weight to give it a good swing. One even said it would be like a school girls skirt! bloody cheek.
I should also point out that the outfit im going for is more of an 1790s-1800 outfit rather than a 1745 style.
