    Very interesting! I like the way it looks. Really does make you wonder if this is the reason ghillie brogue laces are so long.

    I always figured it was to take care of the baggieness around the ankle that results when wearing traditionally made (one piece) cut and sewn hose.

    I always thought it was to keep it on, especially if you get your foot stuck in deep mud or muck and the long laces would hold it on to your foot.

    Not to be all cliche, but that's what Mel Gibson wore in Braveheart around his legs too. You can really notice it at the end when he's being racked in the torture scene.

    I say go for it.

    I'm glad so many approve.

    These scarves were a dark blue/green and black and I also got two that were black and a dark bronze stripes.


    I've been noticing a lot of old pictures in the vintage photos thread where zone socks have a criss-cross of thin lines ... I wonder if they are visually meant to appear like how cords would go up and cross like I'm wearing (just a guess ... I could be wrong)
