Not too far away is the Villa Marre house where my brother and his wife's wedding reception was held; you may remember it from the opening credits of Designing Women. Little Rock has a several nice venues as well as Irish pubds. Creegan's, across the river in North Little Rock, where I actually grew up, is a pretty good spot for a refreshing beverage or three. I met the Little Rock rabble there last May.

I look forward to photos even if I don't make it.
I believe it's $25 for the Supper.

I saw a reference to the Villa Marre House. A good friend of mine from reenacting days who is from Pine Bluff (but now resides in Fayettepatch) recommended Vino's Brewpub. I'm hoping to hit Diamond Bear Brewing as well.

So much to see & do on Saturday; the Old State House, the Arsenal in MacArthur Park and the Territorial museum, plus the Clinton Library -- can't decide where to visit! The Arsenal is a must, since it has a connection to the battlefield where I worked -- two units, North & South, were stationed there before the war. When Arkansas seceded, Capt. James Totten of the Battery F, 2nd US Artillery, left the Arsenal for St. Louis, and was thrown a large barbecue by the citizens of Little Rock. Totten had trained the local artillery militia company, the Pulaski Light Artillery, and 3 months later, both units would face each other at Wilson's Creek.
