Rather than ordering/buying all three kilts at once, might I suggest (in my humble opinion) that you order one PV casual kilt to verify the fit with your measurements before investing in all three kilts you are looking to purchase. If you find your original measurements need some adjustment (for the same waist position) the measurement can be adjust for the next kilt.

Be sure you make the proper measurement change for the natural waist position.

Interesting... but try this:

Sit on the ground with your legs together and straight forward. Now extend your arms and touch your toes. You'll find that the true waist is above the "joint", and that the jeans waist is actually very close to it.

So I'm right? Maybe it boils down to where a guy prefers his jeans to settle.

I just know that my "jeans waist" kilt doesn't fight my ribs.

edit: That wasn't supposed to sound snarky. Just that we both agree that that height at which jeans are worn is below the bend. Right?

On me, it seems that my "jeans waist" is darn near right on the joint. Whereas the kilt waist is well above, and into a part of the back that doesn't tend to have that much bend anyway.

This all has me wondering about just how different these things can be, from one person to another.

I wonder if other folks would look into their own sittuation and report?
