Re: Kilt Question - Irish National tartan

Thanks so much. LOL yeah, I'm still kind of fond of both my kidneys. But I have the feeling the more kilts I get, the less that will be true....

Sure! And the higher rise of the traditional kilts will hide that scar on your back quite nicely. Good luck, and let us know which way you go. Pictures, of course, are required.

Small point of clarification: Marrton Mills weaves the County Crest collection and also the Ireland's National and Irish American tartans, but they do not own the copyright. The copyright is owned by Viking Technologies (aka Gaelic Themes).

Honestly, you can't go wrong with either vendor. I have Kilts from both Rocky and Jerry. Both have impeccable customer service and quality. You'll be happy with whatever choice you make. I guarantee it!

Thanks for all the info. Actually, I have my eye on the semi-trad from USAkilts now. It is only a little more.....uh oh. Is this the first sign?

AHA! Interesting tidbit of information there Rocky. I know Gaelic Themes but always wondered who the heck Viking Technologies was. Thanks.

I strongly recommend the USAK Semi-Trad for the purposes you need.

I'm quite happy with my Semi-Trad in Davidson ancient...

I had thought that Marton Mills was itself merely a trademark owned by Viking, but I could be wrong.

Just received this from Gold Bros for the princely sum of £33.90. I know what a good kilt is like but this ain't so bad.
