In addtion to what Lyile1 said, Use steam. When the leather ends on my radio strap start to curl, I hold them in the position I want them, and hold it over a tea kettle or use the steam from your iron. BTW you might want to hold it with pilers so you don't cook your fingers. Hope this helps
