    As always, you can wear what you want. I also noted that Sir Sean also wore evening clothes complete with a fur sporran during the day, so I don't know that we'd look to him as an "expert" in highland attire.

    I agree with Kyle, as always. I only wear a jabot with cuffs in a full front doublet. And since I so rarely have an occassion to wear such these days, I haven't don't so in several years. Here is a photo of what I mean:



    The white jabot just disappears unless there's a lot of dark color underneath. David's photo of the Duke is an example of why I don't care for the lookalthough no one could fault HG's sense of style or knowledge of good dress or taste. Subsequent photos from Kyle do show how to make the jabot stand our with an open jacket--waist coats, etc.--but for my tastes, it's full front only.

    P.S. Can you tell i was not so long of tooth in that photo?
