Well, it's been a week and nobody else has said anything, so I am proposing a new topic.

The jabot is possibly one of the most controversial items of THCD- even many hard boiled kilt wearers refrain from it. But I was watching ON HER MAJESTY's SECRET SERVICE again the other night and there was George Lazenby as James Bond ( pretending to be Hillary Bray, of the College of Heralds) and he was replete in a jabot. Looking at these brief clips, I can't be sure if he was wearing a regulation doublet or a PC.

Ironically enough, the most blatant other example of a jabot with a PC is Sean Connery in a photo that I am certain someone else can post.

Charles Thompson warns against a jabot worn against a large expanse of white shirt, but both of these Bonds seem to have compensated by wearing a larger-than-usual jabot.

It is a very dressy look indeed, and I expect most of us will not need to be THAT dressed up, at least not more than once in our lives. Can some of the more widely traveled members show some photos of jabot-wearing , particularly among living Scots?

Thanks
