Well, Jock, yes. Most of these celebrations are centered in ethnic communities but some extend to National level whether officially recognized or not. Cinco de Mayo [Mexican] comes to mind, as well as Oktoberfest [German]. If you look around you can find any number of ethnic/cultural celebrations.
