My fault Harold, I am so sorry.

Harold I am sure that you will look splendid. You have yet to put a foot wrong and I am sure that in your mind you know the correct attire and will dress accordingly and with great credit.

Jock - I believe i know what you are thinking and it wouldn't happen to the same extent over here but hey! If they want an excuse for a party who can blame them in these austere times.

Sounds good Harold! Remember the pics!

Jock, many large cities also have an event called the Festival of Nations, to go along with the individual "days". Here is a link to ours

In my opinion, I would go with your initial idea of wearing the MacMillan dress tartan, as that is such a striking and recognisable sett! I would argue that virtually any colour of tweed jacket and waistcoat would look rather smart with the tartan. A collared shirt, neck tie, your new MOD sporran with the brown bag, coloured hose and polished, black brogues would also look quite smart. Since you will be indoors ("a local Methodist Church"), then Scottish headwear will not be required.

Best of luck and be sure to let the rabble know what you decide!

    Cheers,
Spot on with this suggestion Kyle

What ever you finally go with Harold, I know will be right. I have noticed that you have a knack of putting together a good look - never too little and never too much.

It will be "all right on the night".

    Regards
