WELSH RUGBY SCARF 2012 ... a travel log in pictures.

Just a thought. Was there a return to sender address on the small package or any of the paper work where the scarf could be returned to you AK in the event of any mishap.
I take it the scarf has still gone to ground as I type.
Fingers crossed it will sort itself out, hopefully the sooner the sooner the better and it will be able to make up a little bit of time again.

From the hint that AKScott gave sometime ago I believe the next recipient to be a crew member on a motor vessel. That MV is currently just under halfway through its current trip and should be at home port on Sat 14 April, though I could be wrong about who was to receive the the scarf next.

Jock .. not as such ... It would be great to have it back for 1st July so that we could take it to a concert we have to do with our new band up around the ruins of Tintern Abbey. We are hoping (weather permitting) to take some pics of it as the sun sets over the Abbey. After which it will go off again on its adventures to return again by Dec 1st so we can take it again to our annual folk club medieval carol gig in the church at the back of our cottage.
Thanks for the info Downunder. Guess we just sit tight for a bit longer.

Hopefully we will have some news of the scarf during this weekend or in the next day or two. Got me fingers crossed. Be good to know the scarf is safe and hasnt got lost.

Well it's been 4 weeks since the the scarf was sent on its way to a new destination, and has been sitting in some post office for 3 weeks. Did you ever get a reply from your PM AKScott? My guess is that the recipient is TXscotsman, who is a crew member on MV Pride of America which does a weekly run out of Honolulu around the Hawaiian Islands and has a 12 hour turnaround on Saturdays in Honolulu. His last time on the forum shows as 26 March

Yup, that's the guy. He said he gets his mail every Saturday. I haven't heard back via PM either, all I know is the parcel got to the post office in Honolulu.

The good news is after three weeks in Honolulu the scarf should now be sufficiently recovered from its brief encounter with Alaska winter and ready to travel.
