Lamont daywear advice

Does anybody think an arylll black barathea with a black daywear or semi formal sporran would suffice for daywear this is suggested in Kinnloch and Andersons site

I would steer away from the barathea argyll and the "semi formal" sporran for day wear. I would find myself a nice tweed jacket, optional waistcoat and day sporran, either black or brown (hunting sporrans are always a safe bet)

My standard daywear is below. Fortunately I have a number of tweed jackets and waistcoats to mix and match as I desire

Ohhhhh, I knew your seasons were the opposite of ours in the North Mike, with this photo I just assumed your definitions of night and day were opposite too!

For some additional photo help, here is one of a few of us in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago. There are 3 different day wear looks in this one photo (I would consider Jeff's and mine to be similar enough in composition to be considered the same).



Your choice to check photos of The Duke of Rothesay for inspiration is also a good one. It was offered to me when I first came here too, athough I am certain you won't find any of him standing around with his sporran open, as I am!!
