Thanks for those replies; I think the PV washability seals the deal for me...on this kilt. When the kids are bigger, wool!

I haven't talked myself into a B&S yet, just because their FatTax adds up so fast. If I had $200 to spend on a kilt, I'd still be around $65 short of a B&S.

    Tom,

I have purchased several B&S casuals and there wasn't a "FatTax" on any of them. I suspect the VAT is only added to the cost of kilts sold in Canada. Check with B&S to make certain. I did have to pay about $20 in shipping - a reasonable amount in my opinion. Good luck on your decision.

Someone pointed out to me that since I hadn't checked with B&S since I lost some weight, I pay a much lower fat tax than I used to. The B&S kilt advertised at $199 is now only $249 in my size. That means it's now only $10 more than the USA kilt which starts at $219 and sells for $239 in my size.

    Tom,

You literally were talking about a "fat tax" - a hip size thing, I guess. My mistake. Congratulations on losing weight. My excess accumulates around my waist and inexplicably seems to be related to how much beer I drink and how little I ride my mountain bike. I can't figure that out.

Here's the B&S casual that I just received, apologies for the lack of decent photos, this was using the timer on my camera as I'm alone tonight!
