I sure hope someone can. David, the resident Scot at Kilt Kamp this year *did* pronounce the 'g', but another member (whose identity I can't now recall) told a tale of a friend from Kingussie who insisted it wasn't to be pronounced. I suspect that it depends on where one is from as in the case of Appalachia which is universally pronounced a-pell-AY-sha unless you are from there in which case it is pronounced a-pell-A-cha, and if you get it wrong they'll throw an apple at ya.

I thought it was David who said it *wasn't* to be pronounced?

Possibly. I've been known to not pay proper attention from time to time.

I believe what I heard was David saying that the "G" was silent. I then assumed that it is a waste of ink to even bother and will from now on make it invisible.

Looks like a lot of fun. This is going on my wish list.
If you see abbreviations, initials or acronyms you do not know the Xmarks FAQ section on abbreviations may help.

After looking at that the wheels started turning in my noggin, I'm thinking about pleating with the centre box pleat, then knife pleats radiating forward just like a kingusssie, but the last pleat on each side before the apron being a box pleat that matches the tail pleat. Hmmmm when I get some free time ( hahaha free time as if ) I think I might mock one up and see how it looks. Remember folks if it tuns out well it was my idea!! LOL.

It appears that the only limit to how you pleat is those that you put upon your self.

One lesson taken from kilt kamp that if you can think it you can make it. That being said some thoughts don't come off looking as nice as you thought they would but you never know until you pleat and see your thoughts manifest.
