The "Semi Traditional Kilt" is a term that we coined in 2005 for our model that was nicer and looked more traditional than our Casual kilt, but still made in PV cloth (not "traditional" wool material). As far as I know, we're the only kiltmaker to use that term for one of our models.
As 2 small points of clarification, we always use (and have never run out of) silver buckles on our kilts unless the customer provides his / her own brass buckles and we only make knife pleated kilts... not box.
