JohnTheBiker, I applaud your restraint. All too often people seem to feel obliged to "overdo the bling" or get dressed "too traditional." You, however, look very sharp!

I think your kilted attire is just right.

You look good from here JTB. It's nice that your wife was ok with you wearing your ethnic clothing to a celebration of her support of diversity! Had she not, I would have had to ask that her recognition be rescinded!

Thanks Colin. The Toronto St. Andrew's Ball is coming up next weekend. I was planning on a bit more bling for that event - PC, horse hair sporran, etc.

A St. Andrew's Ball is much better time to pull out some bling and add your personal flair. When there are a lot of other kilted guys around, there is more room to tastefully distinguish oneself

Wonderful, John!
There is a Gala next week in DC that my wife and I are planning on going to. My tux was left in Hong Kong, and the only proper black tie attire I have here are my kilt and PC, with a nice white rabbit dress sporran.
I can either look the same as I did during our wedding, or wear my new 8-yard from Rocky @ USAK that will be arriving middle of this week! Can't wait!
I guess I am lucky that my wife (who is the actual Scot) loves seeing me in kilts

Very smartly put together, mate. Everything appears to fit quite nicely. Well done!
Cheers,
