Kilts as a dress uniform in policy for law enforcement

The official dress uniform for the Lincoln New Hampshire Police Dept. is the kilt in the New Hampshire Tartan. They started wearing the kilts to the New Hampshire Highland Games and like them so much they adopted them as their dress uniform. Perhaps you could contact the department there.

Is that seriously one of their official uniforms? If so that is pretty cool.

Something I'm surprised no one has mentioned is the Law Enforcement Memorial Tartan:

This would, I think, be an excellent option.

So with that being said, a friend of mine, Officer Cliff Hunter of the Aurora PD, occasionally wears his Hunter tartan kilt when he has office duty. He's said "What are they gonna do- fire me?" Gods bless him...
