New Doublet

These photos aren't great, the lighting is poor in my house and these were taken by cell phone cam. Still it shows my new single breasted velvet doublet. I am wearing it with the highland cravat and the lace jabot. I also unbuttoned the collar and laid the collar down and it formed kenmore doublet like lapels. Looked good with a black bowtie. Got the inspiration for this doublet from a portrait of the last MacLeod of MacLeod. Hopefully I'll get some better photos soon!

Very nice indeed! Did you do the tailoring?

The only thing that might be a bit amiss is that usually when you see a jabot the jacket's collar is notched so the jabot doesn't 'waterfall' over the top (like in image 2), but rests between the edges. You might want to try wearing the jabot with the top button unbuttoned as in image 1.
