    Thanks John, you are right abut the glacial erosion, plus these mountains are only a few million years old they haven't been worn down quite so much as yet.

    Super pics Simon, brings back fond memories of Vancouver and the Island. Unfortunately I have no plans to visit Canada again in the foreseeable future but I will hopefully catch up with you at Harpenden next month.

    Thank you Bill, our last view of the mountains was from Stony trail North and Deerfoot heading towards the airport. A majestic country and all the Canadians we met were so friendly.
