    Some Pics from Canada

Just thought I would post some pictures that I took on my Canadian holiday. I have posted them here because they are not specifically kilt related, but I thought that as you like to look at photos you may like to see them. We had a fantastic time and the Canadian people are so genuinely friendly. When they say "have a great day" they really mean it. I did call in to see Steve Ashton and Jackson Wagner at Freedom Kilts. we couldn't have been made more welcome and my new Xmarks Kilt pin and Sgian Dubh will be worn with much pride. These are just a sample of nearly 500 pictures that I took.

These are terrific Simon. Hopefully I will see you at Harpenden and will pick your brains as Canada is at the top of the list for our next trip.

Superb pictures. Love the city scapes as much as the scenic and wildlife. It really is a beautiful country Canada isn't it?

This looks like a Bob Ross painting...

Super pictures Simon! It always amazes me that those from abroad with such magnificent scenery of their own and on a much grander scale than here, still want to visit Scotland.

    Wonderful photos.

You're right Jock. I am constantly amazed at the beauty that surrounds me while so many talk about going elsewhere to see anything nice. That said I am coming to Scotland this summer anyway.

Simon: Thanks for posting those beautiful pictures. Scary bears. Now, I suspect I know where you get your moniker, ... though that last one looks like a big "Black". Those peaks above Moraine Lake resemble the Maroon Bells in Colorado. They were probably formed by similar geological forces - upthrust followed by glacial carving, ... or something like that.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Thanks John, was telling jean about Bob Ross as we were travelling through the wonderful scenery. He makes it look so easy.

You are right there Jock, however there is nothing like a Scottish sky for drama. Plus the dramatic scenery is so compelling, oh and don't forget the dram or three.
